Match report On what was a bouncy pitch, captain Sean Taylor won the toss and elected to bat.

After a fairly slow start, Scott Charleson and Michael Ainslie set a good base for the innings as they took the score up to 80 before Michael was out for 20. Scott Charleson in combination with Sean Taylor then got the score really moving as Sean hit a quickfire 33 in a partnership of 61. Scott was finally out for an excellent 73 in the 38th over nearly carrying his bat. In the end, we got a good score of 186 for 6 in our 40 overs.

With St Boswells having a strong batting line up it was always going to be difficult to contain them in pursuit of our total. Ed Blissitt and Farhan Hafiz bowled well in the early stages, but it wasn't long before St Boswells got ahead of the run rate. Ruthven, who scored a century in reverse fixture, did the same again coming in at number 3 and seeing his team home with plenty to spare.

Despite the defeat, there were some plus points. Scott Charleson's 73 was an outstanding effort and youngsters Finn Tait, Farhan Hafiz and Robert Brook all did well. Added to that, Nick Brown took a good catch and James Whyman bowled more consistently.
